Welcome.
Thank you for visiting our website to see more about our Christian Craft Fellowship: Faith Through Creativity community group at The Road. Here we wanted to gather a little more details about who we are, what we are about, and what we do since art can be a very visual means of communication.

Who We Are
This group is for adults only. While we are not a therapy group, our gatherings often touch on healing and growth through creativity. Art and storytelling have a therapeutic quality, especially when paired with God’s Word.
We use the Bible as our guide on this journey, offering tangible steps to help you walk closer with God. Both of us have walked through extremely dark times, but God’s Word has always been our firm foundation in a chaotic world. Through this group, we hope to share the joy and freedom we’ve found by combining faith and creativity.
Why We Create
You don’t have to be “great at art” to join us. This isn’t art to impress others—it’s art as worship to God.
Many people say, “I’m not an artist.” But Scripture reminds us that we are made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27)—and He is the Creator. That means you are also created to create.
Art isn’t only about painting realistic portraits, writing music, or making films. It’s about expressing who God made you to be, and offering that expression back to Him in worship.
If you can write, cut, and glue, you have all the skills you need to be part of this group.
What to Expect
Our projects rotate, some completed in a single session, others spread over several months.
Examples include:
-
Junk Journals
-
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs)
-
Painting (watercolor & acrylics)
-
Clay projects
-
Scrapbooking
All supplies are provided for free. Donations are welcome but never required—we simply want you to enjoy this creative time. We ask that you sign up so we can make sure to bring enough materials for the number of attendees.
We ask that participants do not bring in unrelated personal projects unless specifically invited to. This helps ensure everyone is starting from the same place.
(Other craft groups are available for ongoing projects—please ask if you’re interested.)
Faith & Scripture
We believe creativity is a reflection of God’s nature and an act of worship. Scripture reminds us that God filled His people with artistic skills to glorify Him and build His temple.
-
Genesis 1:27 (NIV)
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” -
Exodus 35:30–35 (NIV)
“Then Moses said to the Israelites, ‘See, the Lord has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs… to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts.’” -
Exodus 31:1–5 (NIV)
“Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘See, I have chosen Bezalel… and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.’” -
Exodus 36:1–2 (NIV)
“So Bezalel, Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the Lord has given skill and ability… are to do the work just as the Lord has commanded.” -
1 Chronicles 28:21 (NIV)
“The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the work on the temple of God, and every willing person skilled in any craft will help you in all the work.” -
Colossians 3:23 (NIV)
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

Meet Us
Hello! We are John and Michelle Miller
We believe God designed us for both community and creativity. That’s why we started this group—to provide a space where faith and art meet, and where we can encourage one another. We’re excited to welcome you, share our stories, and create together!
