Church Focus

Instructions:

Grab a blank card and a drawing tool.
Take a moment to reflect on what is weighing on your heart. Is something bothering you?
As you draw, offer a prayer about the matter.
Provide participants with a minimum of 15 minutes to concentrate on their cards.

Instructions:

Grab a blank ATC and a drawing utensil of your choice.
Choose a verse that holds personal significance for you.
Draw either a literal or figurative representation related to your chosen verse. You can focus on a specific aspect or take an abstract approach.
Remember to write the verse reference on the back of the ATC!

Instructions:

Grab a blank ATC and your preferred drawing utensil.
The host will select a verse for you (either randomly or based on a specific section you will be focusing on, such as the fruits of the spirit or the Book of Genesis).
Draw something that represents your verse, either literally or figuratively. Feel free to choose a specific part of the verse or take an abstract approach.
Remember to write the verse reference on the back of your card!
Your completed card will be included in a set along with contributions from other participants. This will create a memorable experience as you witness the verses being brought to life through imagery.

Instructions:

Grab a blank ATC and choose your preferred decorating materials, such as drawing utensils or collage materials.
(Host: Play soft worship music in the background.)
Allow each individual to create something that is inspired by the currently playing song.
Provide the option to repeat the song if they would like more time to draw, or offer the choice to follow a playlist.

Instructions:

Grab a blank ATC and arrange the art materials you would like to use.
Take a moment to ponder the question before deciding which art medium to begin with.
(Host: Choose one of the following questions to ask)
- What do you imagine heaven looks or feels like?
- How do you envision our soul?
- Feel free to choose your own question!
Allow the participants to take their time with each question. This activity can be completed in multiple sessions if desired.

Instructions:

Sometimes you don't feel quite human. What if you looked based on your feelings? What would that look like?
Pick a shape for your head. Whether it's because you just like the shape, you are feeling like that right now, or it was the first shape you saw!
Add a neck underneath, and attach some shape to the body
Color in the body based on the feeling you want to have and draw the facial expression of the most felt emotion you have had so far today..

Instructions:

Take a look at the Color Emotes and Pattern Reference card. Take a moment to reflect on how you are feeling. What emotion(s) are you feeling right now?
Use the corresponding color to the emotion you are feeling.
What matching pattern would add to the feeling of the color you choose?
Does it look finished? Or is there another layer of color and emotion? Add it on top.
Continue until you feel satisfied.

Instructions:

Grab a blank Body ATC and a drawing utensil of your choice. (Optional: Use Emote Stickers)
Take a breath and pause a moment. What is the strongest feeling you are experiencing right now? If more than one emotion: either try drawing the combination on one card, or each emotion on a separate card.
Feel free to use emote stickers to help with the facial expressions, but add around the head and body what other sensations you may be feeling.
