White Utensils w/ Dark Blanks

Draw

Easy

This kit is all about exploring contrast. Use the white crayon on the black ATC blanks and notice how differently it behaves compared to drawing on white paper. Practice on the scrap paper first if you'd like, then create a nighttime scene filled with stars, the moon, or even a mysterious flying object. Experiment with different amounts of pressure to discover the range of marks you can make and enjoy seeing bright artwork emerge from a dark background.
Once you feel the card is complete, sign and date the back.
(Optional: Glue an ATC backing to the back and fill it out.)

Kit Curation Story

Instructions

Look at Your Materials

Your kit includes black ATC blanks, ATC backings, a white crayon, and scrap paper for testing. The dark cardstock creates a dramatic background for the white marks you'll make.

Create

Use the white crayon to draw a night scene, starry sky, mysterious creature, or anything else that stands out against the black background. Fill as much or as little of the card as you'd like.

Experiment

Try changing the pressure of your crayon to create lighter and darker marks. Test different textures, patterns, or layering techniques on the scrap paper before drawing on your ATC.

Finish Your Card

Once you're happy with your design, sign and date the back. (Optional: Glue an ATC backing to the back and fill it out.)
