Paint

Medium

This is a fun (and slightly messy!) painting experiment. Place a small amount of paint onto your ATC blank, then use the included gift card to scrape the paint across the surface into a thin layer. Try changing the angle, pressure, or direction of your scrape to create different textures. Use any leftover paint on scrap paper or another ATC to see what new effects you can discover. Once everything has dried, finish your card with the included words, shapes, or focal piece—or leave it as a painted background for a future project. Feel free to use any extra papers or recycled materials you have nearby to keep experimenting.
Once you feel the card is complete, sign and date the back.
(Optional: Glue an ATC backing to the back and fill it out.)

Kit Curation Story

Instructions

Look at Your Materials

Your kit includes two ATC blanks, a bag of paint, a gift card scraper, two ATC backings, word strips, paper shapes, and a focal image.

Prepare Your Workspace

Protect your work surface with scrap paper or paper towels. Wet wipes are also helpful for cleanup.

Create

Cut a very small opening in the paint bag and squeeze a little paint onto your ATC. Use the gift card to spread the paint across the surface with smooth strokes.

Experiment

Try different scraping angles, paint thicknesses, or create additional backgrounds using leftover paint. Once dry, finish your card with the included embellishments or add your own.

Finish Your Card

Allow the paint to dry completely before signing and dating the back. (Optional: Attach an ATC backing.)
